Dundrum Credit Union has a Schools Savings Scheme in operation for the schools in our common bond area.
TEN of our local schools are already members of the saving scheme and they are already feeling the benefits of the financial contribution given every year. Depending on how many children join in your school, you could receive a cheque for between €500 and €1,200. (See photographs in the Community & Youth section of our website.) Click Here
The Credit Union are actively involved in the establishment of the Scheme and will provide all the necessary support to ensure the smooth running of this scheme.
The purpose of the School Savings Scheme is to encourage children to start saving on a regular basis from an early age.
The collection of money will be organised by the Credit Union in the school each week that the school is open, and on a day and time that is suitable to the school.
There will be no withdrawals allowed in the school, only in the Credit Union office, and the account holder if under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent.
The financial contribution to the participating schools is on a yearly basis from Dundrum Credit Union. This contribution may help fund sports equipment / recreational facilities or whatever the school deems necessary at the time.
If you would like your school to belong to this School Saving Scheme or would like some more information, please contact Pauline on 01 299 0400 or by email at pauline@dundrumcu.ie
